What are Overtones?
When we sing, an overtone can be created that is a higher sound that happens naturally along with the main note. Even though you usually only hear one note, there are actually other, fainter tones above it that help give each instrument or voice its unique sound. That’s the special magic behind the ring that makes our chorus sound so great!
In our chorus, we have a special group of non-singing people we call Overtones who work behind the scenes to help support us, help with events, and really make our chorus shine!
If you are looking for a great community of like minded people and love to volunteer, we would love to have you join us as an Overtone member!
Anyone interested in supporting the chorus in a non-performing role.
Overtones are an important part of our chorus family and are encouraged to attend rehearsals, join social events, and assist with various tasks that help the chorus thrive.
Dues: $15 per month – We are a 501c (3) registered non-profit organization, so your dues are completely tax-deductible.
You will also get an Overtones T-shirt and name badge, so everyone will know how amazing you are!
Offer your time and skills to support the chorus in areas such as:
• Fundraising at performances
• Managing auction tables and similar activities
• Moving risers
• Assisting with food prep and setup at SYPS and other events
• Stay socially connected with the chorus community
